Every year my brother and I enter the CFN Scholarship Fund Football Ticket Drawing, and one or both of us ends up winning free Husker football tickets. He emailed me the link to remind me to enter, and guess who one of the winners listed is…

Two pairs of football tickets will be offered for each game listed below. The proceeds will go toward the Californians for Nebraska College Scholarship Fund. You have the option to purchase opportunity tickets for any game. Two pair (4 total tickets) will be raffled for each game. The opportunity drawings will be held 18 days prior to the game day. The drawing schedule deadlines will be displayed prior to the end of the drawing for each game.
Winners of Western Michigan tickets were Mike Synovec of Papillion, NE and William Kay of Colorado Springs, CO.

High school quarterback, Cody Green out of Texas has Nebraska and Texas A&M at the top of his list of schools. His decision could come in the next few days.

The huskers will host a big visitor during the Virginia Tech football game. Highly rated runningback David Oku of Oklahoma will be making the visit. The huskers are sitting very well with Oku.

NU holds 7 on 7 Tournament

Nebraska held it’s annual 7 on 7 passing tournament in Lincoln. Bellevue West walked away with the championship by defeating Millard South in the final.

QB, Cody Green from Texas made his stop at the Nebraska Elite Quarterback camp. He now has put the huskers in his top two with Texas A&M. He will be deciding soon and I think he will be a husker.

Although he took Nebraska off his list of schools he is considering, Lynn will take part in Nebraska’s football camp. This has to show that there is at least some interest still left for the huskers. Let’s hope the coaches can press all the right buttons.

Koehlmoos receiving mail

Instate all-around athlete Eric Koehlmoos from Pierce, Nebraska gets recruiting letters in the mail everyday. Awhile ago he received an offical offer from the University of Wyoming. He recently received a letter from LSU, that invited him to their camp. He also recieves mail from Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa, Iowa State, and Ohio. I think when Eric goes to the Nebraska camp the huskers will throw the offer on the table.

Teafatiller gets DUI

Well once again Hunter Teafatiller picked up another DUI. He is the top returning tightend in catches, although I think this may be his last strike. I believe we won’t be seeing Hunter on the field next season.

What’s up Tommie Frazier?

“What does Tommie Frazier do now?” That was one of the questions raised last week when we saw him in a small town bar. We know he doesn’t coach for Doane anymore. I didn’t recognize him as he’s put on a few pounds since he played football for NU, but I don’t have room to talk as I’ve packed on a couple pounds in the last decade as well. The next question raised was “what’s he doing here?” as he was the only black guy in the small all-white community. And the only answer I heard was that he was “seeing” a gal from that area. Well, the gal he left with is married, so if that’s true and that’s the gal, that is totally not cool. And I thought he was married? Anyway, I never personally got to meet him. If I would have, I would have asked for his autograph, asked him what he’s doing now, and why he was in town.

NU looking for a speed back

The huskers already have two commitments from bigger running backs, now the huskers are looking for a faster running back with break-away speed. Jarvis Giles from Florida could be the fast back Nebraska is looking for. Tim Beck the new runningbacks coach is a powerful recruiting asset for finding the fast back the huskers are looking for.
