Matt Herian signs with Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Matt Herian is a hometown hero here in Pierce, Nebraska, as he is a 2002 Pierce High graduate and son of residents Jim and Diane Herian. We all know Nebraska is a “sea of red” on game days, but this especially holds true for our town showing our support for Matt.
Herian was not selected in the National Football League draft, but it didn’t take long afterwards for teams to start calling the Nebraska senior tight end, and it didn’t take long for him to sign a free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. How fitting that their team color is also RED! Looks like we’ll all be sporting Tampa Bay Buc Jerseys now!
