Going for the Kill
Jerry Kill will have the 6-4 Golden Gophers ready to go when they visit Lincoln on November 17. I beg that the Sea of Red doesn’t let the inferior opponent syndrome affect the level of crowd noise. Because we all know that husker fans do not get as rowdy for weaker opponents compared to the prime time match-ups they are usually spoiled with. For one, I would also like to point out that Minnesota is a good enough team to have earned bowl eligibility and should not be taken lightly. The crowd needs to roar to rattle Minnesota quarterbacks Max Shortell and MarQueis Gray and pump up the blackshirts.
If the big red comes out mentally flat, the crowd needs to back them and turn up the noise to trigger the momentum roller coaster. No team rides the momentum roller coaster as much as this current husker squad and the last thing the huskers need is to derail and have an off game to the gophers. Now on the bright side, the husker offense has already played the best defenses in the Big Ten and the defense has already played the best offenses in the league. Expect the huskers to play simple and let the athletes take control of the game and grind out a nice 17 point win.
